This sculpture is a true work of art to me. If I absollutely had to choose a favorite, it would be this one. The clam shell with its pearl is timeless. The pearl has a small hole in it to hold incense. This piece exudes so much movement! It's playful and creative—perfect for a mermaid.
The sculpture is left primarily unglazed, with clear glaze applied to the pearl and special areas of the shell to catch the light. There are also spaces around the shell where you can place jewelry or other altar pieces that are meaningful to you.
I may just have to re-create this shape over and over again, I’m in love!
